So Much to Say...

So little time to post! I can't believe I'm so far behind. It is ridiculous how busy we've been the last several months. JT is traveling all the time, and I feel like I'm chasing my tail trying to keep up. But, time doesn't stop, and our little guy is growing up sooooo fast.

Summer and early Fall 2010 were full of fun and new discoveries. Cole had his second 4th of July. This year we once again celebrated at Gee-Gee and Poppa's along with many close friends and family. Cole seemed to enjoy the fireworks, really noticing the colors and sounds. He had a great time hanging out with Emma Bilby and Eli Hopping.
Cole also had his first haircut in July! Mommy almost cried!! Who would have thought it would be so traumatic for me to watch his little baby curls get a trim.

In August, Cole started Kids Day Out at the First United Methodist Church in Wagoner. He goes two days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays. He seems to enjoy his time there, and has made lots of new friends. After school, he sits out in the front yard at my parent's house (he stays with them until either JT or I can pick him up after work) and watches the big, yellow, "bus-sshes". He LOVES to see those buses fly by full of big kids. He's quite the hit with the bus drivers, too, one even stopped and took him for a ride!
In mid-October Cole took his first true vacation - he flew to Miami, Florida and cruised on down to Key West with Mommy, Daddy, Gee-Gee, Poppa, and cousin Cheryl. Cole did so well on the plane and in the car! He had a great time playing on the beach, cruising around in our little electric car, and feeding the seagulls.

Last year Cole dressed up for Halloween, but, like all babies, he was the typical pumpkin. This year, however, was another story! He was a Cowboy with real boots, hat, and chaps! He even had a "horsey" he rode! Cutest little buck-a-roo I've ever seen! (Oh, and the aforementioned bus drivers, they threw out candy to him during their routes!)

As for developmental advancements, Cole "talks" all the time. He's full of a lot of words, but hasn't quite mastered a sentence yet! I have a feeling it won't be long...he seems to be very verbal. Wonder where he gets that?! :)

Cole also likes to read books. He's not Doogie Howser just yet, but he's quite good at pointing out the animals (the frog, deer, bug, dog, chicken, pig, fish, and cat) in his Big Animal Book. He's starting to associate sounds with the pictures, too! (Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I sound like a bragging parent, but I just can't help it!)

As for weight and height stats, at his 18 month appointment he was almost 26 lbs and 33 inches tall! Long and lean!

Next up: Family pictures, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! I'll try REALLY, REALLY hard to get something posted in a more timely fashion! Please note I said TRY! :)
